EMAN AFROZ,STUDENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS 5TH SEMESTER AT IIUI

2 months ago, 21 year old Eman Afroz was murdered inside her hostel in Islamabad, however justice is still unserved.

On the night of April 19, 2025, Eman Afroz, a 5th semester student of international relations at ISLAMIC INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ISLAMABAD, was brutally murdered in her hostel room at Kainat hostel, G-10 Islamabad.

That night, Eman was feeling uneasy and got up to open her door. At that moment, a man forcefully entered her room. Eman screamed for help, the man fired a bullet at her and the man fled the scene.

An official FIR under Section 302 PPC has been registered but there has been no progress visible in the investigation of her murder.

The victim’s sister shares that even after being shot, Eman was alive for over 30 minutes but during this time

-the warden did not take any measures.

-no one took her to the hospital.

-help arrived too late.

THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT ONE GIRL

This is a chain of complete negligence and system failure. Islamabad which is the capital of Pakistan, even students are not safe. What is wrong with Pakistan, justice is always given to the elites and even released when the elites commit a crime, but here the government does not care about a student’s life. Maybe she was just a student to the university but she was a daughter, a sister, she had dreams, ambitions to make her family proud. Just imagine for a moment, if your sister or daughter was in her place and you were not given justice, how would you feel? Yes! That is how her father feels right now. For God’s sake raise your voice for her. It’s not just about her. It’s about the safety of other students, a culture that silences victims and the fact that young women are not even safe in their own rooms.

WE DEMAND JUSTICE

We demand immediate arrest of the murderer, we demand transparent investigation under public and media scrutiny, we demand accountability for delays that contributed to her death and we demand and safety for all of the students, especially women in hostels.

This booklet is a small effort to bring forward the true examples of arrogance. Their end was destruction, not by chance but by divine decree. As a young boy myself I felt it was important to compile all of the stories in one book so it can be easily accessed. May this small work awaken the hearts of everyone in...
